Big thanks to André for encouraging thoughts on the freedom to pursue a personal passion: Your words inspired this picture and its message. It was fun being filmed while drawing, and I’m looking forward to further documenting sessions.
Eerily odd that you liked my blog and I just finished reading a short description of Holocaust survivor Viktor Frankl’s seminal work that he described in his book The Meaning of Life: “… everything can be taken from a man but one thing: the last of human freedoms–to choose one’s attitude in any given set of circumstances, to choose one’s way.” Was digesting this concept too in recent blog posts about being true to the path we are truly meant to follow. (Robert Greene’s book Mastery also goes into this at length.) Your drawing captures this perfectly. Nice.
